The School of Correspondance Education is a very prominentunit of the university,
which caters to the educational needs of persons who cannot afford higher education
as regular students. The School is result of the vision of Dr.D.C.Pavate, then Vice-Chancellor
who showed keen interest in starting this unit. It was in the year 1961-62, the
External Examination Branchwas established which offered courses like BA, B.Com,
MA, M.Com Course. The External Examination Branch was converted as school of Correspondance
Education in the year 2007.
The School is attracting students not only from the University area but also from
other parts of the Country; the students community comprises job holders, business

to various Graduate and Post-graduate courses. The courses offered by the school
are strengthened by the supply of self instructional materials to the students,
which are prepared by the expert teachers. Hence, the courses offered by the school
have become attaractive and large number of students are studying through Correspondence
